All Students
School shoes: dress shoes, must be flat, soft soled heel, and black, brown or navy blue in color. They may be laced or loafer style. For girls, the heels may be no higher than 1 ½ inches. Footwear NOTpermitted during the regular school day: gym shoes, clogs or mule backed shoes, boots
(shoes above ankle are considered boots), high tops, high heels or sandals.
Hair must be of reasonable length, style and color. No streaking or coloring of hair is permitted. Boy’s hair must be trimmed above the ears and the shirt collar. Hair styles NOT permitted: non-customary type including “tails”, sculpting, “lining” or any style that is distracting. For boys, hair should not cover the ears and the length should be above the shirt collar.
Shirts: Burgundy (NEW COLOR) or Light Yellow polo for all students in grades K-5. Navy blue or BURGUNDY (NEW) COLOR) polo for all students in grades 6-8. (Long or short sleeve with no decorations.)Decorative or colored T-shirts may NOT be worn as undergarments.
Cardigan sweater may be worn if they are solid Burgundy, yellow or navy blue. A St. Alfred logo black fleece purchased through the St. Alfred Parent Club may also be worn. The St. Alfred black “hoodie” style sweatshirt, purchased through Parent Club, may be worn in school from November 1st until March1st only. (Dates may be adjusted at the Principal’s discretion.)
Walking shorts purchased from Schoolbelles in navy blue or black, for grades K-5, or khaki, for grades 6-8, can be worn during August and September, May and June.
¨ Gym clothes: Black or gold colored T-shirts with the St. Alfred logo purchased from the St. Alfred Parent Club and black sweatpants or warm up pants are to be worn to school on gym day. The warm up pants may have white, gray, or gold strips down the sides of the legs. All students in grades 1-8 are required to have a gym uniform as the children will not be permitted to change into gym clothes.
Gym shoes are to be non-marking athletic shoes.
Boys
Shirts: Burgundy or pale yellow polo for all students in grades K-5.Navy blue or Burgundy polo for all students in grades 6-8.
Long or short sleeve with no decorations.) Shirts must be tucked in. Decorative or colored T-shirts may NOT be worn as under garments.
Dress pants of navy blue or black for boys in grades K-5 are to be worn. These dress pants must
be purchased from Schoolbelles (School Uniform Company).
Khaki dress pants only for boys in grades 6-8 are to be worn.
These dress pants must be purchased from Schoolbelles (School Uniform Company).
Belts must be worn with pants; solid brown, black, or navy only. Khaki belts may be worn by students in grades 6-8.
Socks must be solid plain white, navy blue, or black. Grades 6-8 may also wear khaki colored socks.
Earrings are NOT permitted
Jewelry: Limited to a watch and one religious medal.
Boys must be clean shaven.
Girls

Make-up is NOT permitted.
¨ Glitter is NOT permitted.
Nail polish is NOT permitted exceptfor clear. Fake nails are NOT permitted.
Jewelry is limited to one pair of small post earrings, a watch, and one religious medal.
Hair accessories, which interfere with class work or act as a source of distraction, are not permitted.
Hair bows: should be small and made only of colors found in the uniforms.
