"KEEP SMILING SCHOLARSHIP"

Last year a new scholarship award was set up by the McKenty family in memory
of their late brother Geoffery. This $500 scholarship award will again be presented to a graduating 8th grader who is strong in their Catholic faith, a positive role model and continuing their education at a Catholic High School. 
Students will be asked to write an essay responding to questions based on their Catholic faith. There are 5 questions that all 8th grade students should discuss with their families in order to prepare strong personal responses. 
Students will be asked to write on 3 of the questions, but they will not know which questions until the day the essays are written. No students will be allowed to bring pre-written responses to school which is why a fruitful, in-depth dialogue with parents and other family members is extremely important. Students will write their responses in school under the guidance and direction of
Ms. O’ Connor. Essays will be judged and the winner will be announced the night of graduation. The McKenty family will be in attendance to help award this scholarship.

Our Campbell Soup Labels are piling up. If you are able, stop in and pick up a pile of labels to cut, count and organize. It's a great way to earn service hours and you can complete the task while watching your favorite TV show.
